For those seeking a thrilling raft trip, the Shoshone Rapids is a good option. Though short, this section offers six advanced rapids, including Tombstone, Baptism, The Wall, and Maneater.
The rapids make a great half-day trip, and rafters can extend to a full-day by running them a second time or continuing downriver through Glenwood Canyon. The Shoshone Rapids begin just outside of Dotsero.
