Basic Directions

County Rd. 360 from LaVeta can access this Trail. Travel 6 miles to Wahatoya Trail sign, turn right and travel 2 more miles “ if you have 4x4,” otherwise its a walk to intersection of trail and dead end of road. Trail is 1 ½ miles to saddle of the Spanish Peaks. Trail will continue down the backside of the saddle for 2 miles to Forest Service cabin and then West for 4 miles to the intersection of the Apishapa Trail #1324. This 4 mi. is currently under construction .

Once at intersection of trail #1324, one my travel west to intersection of Trail #1392,” West Peak Trail “ Then left to return to County rd. #46, 1 ½ mi. or right to timber line or summit of West Peak 1 ½ mi. Other option at intersection of trail #1324 and # 1304 is to turn back left and travel 1 ½ mi. to county #46.
