Steamboat is the largest ski resort in northwestern Colorado. Encompassing six mountains in the Park Range on the west slope of the Rockies, Steamboat is praised for its wide variety of terrain types and "Maverick's," the longest superpipe on the continent.
Many Olympic athletes have trained on the slopes both here and at the neighboring ski-jump training ground, Howelsen Hill.
