SOM Footwear, short for Sense of Motion, is a young, adventurous sneaker manufacturer proud to be making shoes in the United States! We hand-craft every pair here at our factory in Montrose, Colorado, so come down and see us! We want to help the world realize that your feet can be free and happy in our barefoot-inspired minimalist shoes. You can meet the shoemaker, Olie, who started making shoes in 2011 to help his back pain and realized that this was something everyone could benefit from, thus SOM Footwear was born!
You can tour the factory and see our American made shoes, try on a pair in our outlet store and see how the wide toe box and zero-drop sole keep you connected with the Earth and meet our great SOMstresses! We'd be happy to have you and it's a unique and fun way to spend some time, especially if you need a break from sightseeing and adventuring around Montrose or the kids need to stop and stretch their legs if you're traveling through.
