Description
The campground stretches along Ophir Creek and up a hillside among mature spruce, Aspen and wildflowers. Some camping sites are on the creek while others are walk-in tent sites on a hillside above the creek. Some of the walk-in tent sites are outstanding. The sounds of Ophir Creek can be heard throughout the campground. The nearby Bishop's Castle, an ongoing private re-creation of a medieval castle, is an interesting day trip. Firewood is available for a fee.
This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques.
