Description
The Holy Cross Trail is part of the Lunch Loops Trail System just outside Grand Junction on BLM land. Located on the way to the Colorado National Monument, the Holy Cross Trail offers amazing views of the surrounding desert landscape and over toward the mesas of the west.
The Holy Cross Trail features many rock gardens and rock ledges for riders to negotiate. There is some expert level technical riding here, which can be portaged by hiking if necessary. On the downhill bits, the Holy Cross trail has well packed berms to keep the speed going.
The Holy Cross Trail can be mixed with other loops in the Lunch Loops Trail System to increase the workout. There are a huge number of trails in the Lunch Loops area so a trail-map does come in handy here.
