Description
Foundation Riding Academy is designed to be a comprehensive riding program to develop the well-rounded, knowledgeable equestrians of tomorrow. We believe it’s not just about riding the horse – it’s about being an educated horse person for your safety and greater enjoyment. Our students are expected to partake in grooming and tacking their horses prior to riding, and properly put away their horse after riding. Our students are also required to have one "ground” lesson every yearly quarter in which they will learn different aspects of horses, ranging from basic horse knowledge to horse "how-to’s” to routine and emergency horse care. This is the tried and true best way to fully develop an equestrian!
English or Western riding lessons are available from baby-beginner to advanced levels for children or adults. Riders at the advanced level may choose to pursue Dressage, Jumping, Western Pleasure, Reining, Showing, or Horse Training. As a Riding Academy, we will eventually encourage our advanced riders who have picked a discipline to move to a horse trainer in our area who specializes in that discipline IF the rider chooses.
