Description

Deer Creek Canyon Park is an oasis in the middle of the urban landscape of metro Denver. Located within the confines of the city, Deer Creek Park trails offers mountain bikers a series challenging climbs and fast downhills without leaving the city limits!

Denver City controls the 90+ acres of undeveloped land in Deer Creek Canyon Park and there are not currently any user fees to ride here. There are two trails of note in the Deer Creek Canyon Park area. Plymouth Creek Trail involves a very steep section of climbing toward the middle of the ride but it quickly mellows as the ride approaches the top. Red Mesa Loop involves more climbing and has excellent views from the top of the trail.

The Deer Creek Canyon Park trails are popular with locals in Denver as a welcome recreational escape from the hubbub of city life. The trails are often crowded during weekends and peak hours after the workday so plan accordingly.
