After experiencing our archeological heritage, you can also enjoy the cool beauty of our Colorado Rocky Mountains on a circle day trip into historic mining towns. Venture into the breathtaking splendor of the red monuments and culture of Monument Valley, and don't forget to stand in four states at the same time (Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona) at the Four Corners Monument. Our area offers a wide variety of activities for the whole family, from wonderful hiking and biking trails in the San Juan Mountains to rafting and fishing on the Dolores River. In the evenings you can attend authentic Native American dancing and story telling in historic downtown Cortez or sit down with Lady Luck at the Ute Mountain Casino only 10 minutes away.
